Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

Last Updated: September 1, 2026

Capybara is a platform for creating and publishing games. We respect copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, personality, and other proprietary rights, and we expect everyone using Capybara to do the same.

Generating or modifying content through Capybara does not give a user permission to use another person's characters, franchise properties, artwork, music, trademarks, logos, photographs, voices, names, likenesses, or other protected material.

Reporting an Intellectual Property Concern

If you are a rights holder or are authorized to act for one, send a report to legal@terminalhq.com with the subject line "IP Report — Capybara". Please include:

  1. Your full name, organization, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work, trademark, or other right you believe is being infringed, including registration details when applicable.
  3. The URL of each Capybara game or page containing the material at issue.
  4. A clear description of the material and the claimed infringement so we can locate and evaluate it.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or applicable law.
  6. A statement that the information in your report is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for the rights holder.
  7. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete reports may delay our review. Please do not include unrelated personal information or demand payment through an infringement report.

What Happens After a Report

We may request additional information, forward relevant portions of the report to the affected user, and remove, disable, or unpublish content while we review the matter. We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in repeated or serious infringement. Taking action on a report does not mean that we have made a final legal determination about ownership or infringement.

Responding to a Removal

If your Game was removed or disabled and you believe the report was mistaken or that your use is authorized by the rights holder or applicable law, email legal@terminalhq.com with the subject line "IP Counter-Report — Capybara". Include:

  1. Your full name and contact information.
  2. The URL or identifying information for the removed Game or material.
  3. An explanation of why you believe the removal was mistaken or why you are authorized to use the material.
  4. Any licenses, permissions, or other supporting information.
  5. A statement that the information in your response is accurate, together with your physical or electronic signature.

We may share the response with the original reporter and may restore content when appropriate. A restoration does not prevent either party from pursuing available legal remedies.

Repeat Infringement

Capybara may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate intellectual property rights or misuse our reporting process. We consider the circumstances of each matter, including the nature of the content, prior reports, responses, and applicable law.

Other Legal Requests

This policy is not a substitute for any procedure required by applicable law. Court orders, subpoenas, and other formal legal process should be sent to legal@terminalhq.com. Nothing in this policy limits our rights under the Terms of Service.
