We will never shut your game down or drop your players. If you exceed your plan's included multiplayer or AI allowances, the overage will simply deduct from your available Credit bank at the standard pay-as-you-go rate in pro and max plans. Make sure to enable metered usage to avoid unexpected charges.

Am I locked into your platform, or can I export my game?

You own what you build. You can export your game to web, mobile, or desktop at any time. Live services like multiplayer and auth run on our backend for convenience, but your code and assets are 100% yours.

How far do my Generation Credits actually go?

Accepted Answer

Further than you think! Pricing is transparent. A full character spritesheet or a large tilemap is typically 350 to 400 credits. That means on the Pro plan (25k credits), you can generate 62 to 71 high-quality assets every single month. You will always see the exact credit cost before you generate.

How much does it cost to build a game?

Accepted Answer

The first pass from your idea to a working prototype is usually the most expensive single pass, because Capybara needs to generate the core assets and foundation for the game. For that initial prototype, you can typically expect about $5–$8. Once the base is done, the remaining work is much more cost-effective. A simpler complete game can be around $15 at most, while larger or more complex games can go higher depending on scope, asset count, and polish.

Are the included multiplayer and database features ready for real players?

Accepted Answer

Yes. These are production-ready services. Pro and Max both run on the same enterprise-grade infrastructure. The only difference between tiers is your monthly scale limits.

What happens to my credits if I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

If you cancel, your account reverts to the Free tier. You keep all your exported games and generated assets forever. Your remaining credit balance stays in your account so you can continue using them on a pay-as-you-go basis, you just won't receive the discounted monthly top-up.

What are the rate limits on in-game AI services?

Our infrastructure is designed to auto-scale and handle massive spikes in usage without hard rate limits. If your game goes viral and you experience a massive sudden surge in players, our servers will automatically accommodate the load to ensure a smooth player experience.

What assets can I generate with my credits?

Accepted Answer

You can generate 2D character spritesheets, props, maps, background music, AI speech, and interactive HUD elements. If it goes in a game, you can likely generate it.
